The U.S. Mission to the EU is looking for a full-time
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
(ref. FY10-02)
Duties:
a) Performs all administrative duties for the Treasury Office, including but not limited to:
- schedules meetings and maintains calendars
- makes travel arrangements (flight & hotel reservations)
- develops and maintains filing systems
- manages and keeps contact database up-to-date
b) Does research
- tracks, researches and reports information and data on economic and financial developments
in Europe
- searches for and analyzes data
- maintains databases of key European financial and economic information
- monitors official publications
c) Acts as VIP visits coordinator for the Treasury Office
d) Tracks office budget and coordinates procurement of office supplies
Profile:
Education: Two years of post-secondary school education.
Experience: Minimum two years experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure office environment.
Language Requirements: Fluency in English and French.
Job Knowledge: Knowledge of office management and financial/budget tracking. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (incl. spreadsheets and graphical presentations).
Skills and Abilities: Successful candidate must be able to independently organize and execute work and develop effective solutions, must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and must be able to analyze a budget or other spreadsheet applications, identify and correct discrepancies and report findings.
